According to the Libyan National Oil Company, the matter was discussed during a recent meeting between Libyan Oil and Gas Minister Abdel Bari Ali Al-Arousi and AzMeCo Chairman of the Board, Nizami Piriyev.

Libyan Minister of Oil and Gas, Dr. Abdulbari Al-Arusi, received the Chairman of the Board of AzMeCo, Mr. Nizami Piriyev, and his accompanying delegation during their official visit to Libya. The meeting was also attended by Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Libya, Mr. Aghasalim Shukurov.

AzMeCo’s first methanol production is scheduled for early 2013, with final commissioning works to be completed in parallel. The initial shipments are expected within the first quarter of 2013
